some new "they sleep" sketches right before new year. i filled the last two pages up in no time, also tried to add some more variety then in the older ones by using different tools instead of just a pencil. hope it'll stay like this in 2018. ps: guess you can tell which two movie fan art scribbles made it into the sketchbook here. ;) hope you like.

last day, last inktober illustration. was SO MUCH fun, i try to keep the habit and do some more ink/analog stuff
beside the "they sleep" pencil-sketches i do from time to time. glad i did it without stopping inbetween. on one
or two days it was really hard to combine that challenge with the day-to-day-basis, but i can't wait for next year now. ;)

RUINER fan art: "Him"

Cyberpunk. i love it. "RUINER" - finally out! Go get it, puppy! yesterday i got some spare time to spend since work is quite calmly right now, so i took the chance to do a little RUINER fan art. i am calling this one "him". i really love the artstyle, the vibrant colours and the overall "Ghost in the Shell"/"Akira"/"Patlabor" vibe of the game, seriously, if you are into that stuff go check it out. i wanted to do a little something about it in the second i saw the "Security Guard" Character Concept done by the very talented Benedykt Szneider. I had that scene in my head which i wanted to draw, from there it just started to come - i love when that happpens... creativity and great minds keep inspiring.

be witness of that moment, when two goons which should work actually get booze and smoke, girls and some talk instead of their job done... but then they see "him" walking by. hope you like.

back with some new and some not so new blackbook/sketchbook scribbles. more sleeping, unaware and aware strangers. right now i am pretty active again while i go by train, but after my son was born ~10 months ago, i was pretty busy with new stuff like beeing a dad, and doing work out more active in my free-time, i really haven't got the pashion to take the sketchbook and some pens with me especially because work snatching all the creative output away. right now i try to do at least one (small) new sketch a day from "living references". ;)

the cat and the dog on the last page where actually pretty impressive. the dog was like a direwolf right outta game of thrones... he was so big and in bright, vibrant white. i think his master was proud as she noticed that i was sketching her dog, she constantly was trying to get him in pose, that's why there are so many attempts from me. ;) the cat was sitting right in front of me the other day, i warned his master that these "cat-leashes" won't keep the cat from getting out, if he really wants to run off - she replied: "he knows who i am. he won't run off...", he didn't.
